Agent Lights ยท effective 19 October 2026

Agent Lights is a personal Stream Deck plugin. It runs only on its developer's own Mac, with the developer's own accounts. This page explains exactly what it does with Google data.

What it reads from Google

With your permission, given on Google's sign-in page, Agent Lights uses one scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.labels.

It uses that permission for one thing: every two minutes, shortly after the Mac wakes, and when you press the Gmail key, it reads the number of unread conversations in your Inbox (the threadsUnread value of the INBOX label). It never reads, sends, changes or deletes your email. It never creates, renames or deletes a label.

What it does with that data

What it stores

It stores one item in the macOS Keychain on your Mac: the app's OAuth client ID, the client secret and your refresh token. It needs them to read the count again without asking you to sign in each time. Nothing is stored anywhere else.

Its log records only that a read failed and why, in general terms (for example, "network"). It never records the count, a token, the client secret, your email address or anything Google sends back.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Agent Lights' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

You can remove Agent Lights' access at any time in your Google Account, at myaccount.google.com/connections. On the Mac, the plugin's sign-in script can also revoke the access and delete the Keychain item.

Changes and contact
